As a group we choose a topic to focus on and then devote a number of months to this. Members take it in turn to lead a session on an aspect of the chosen subject.

So far we have ranged far and wide, including:

  • 17C Civil War
  • Venice
  • 1942
  • The Caribbean
  • The East India Company
  • Life in Tudor times
  • Japan
  • The Black Death
  • Women in History,
  • Decisions that changed history
  • and currently we are working on the settlement of North America.
