Plans for the coming season include:

  • Setting up and using telescopes
  • How to find stars, planets and other objects, initially those closer to earth and then in time further away
  • Setting short and long term projects
  • Inviting guest speakers, e,g, from the Shropshire Astronomy Group to give talks and offer them the Centre as a site for them to observe the skies

For those in Pontesbury or other areas where transport to the Bog Centre could be difficult, we are looking to arrange car sharing so that all members are able to join this exciting group, even if they are reluctant to drive during the darker, colder winter months.
