The Local History Group is now up and running again with new coordinator, Jean. Meetings will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 2-4pm.
Many of our u3a members have lived in the district for many years so have plenty of knowledge about local people, places and events.
Initially we have decided on the broad theme of industrialisation and how this shaped people's lives, places and events in the locality. However, we also welcome anyone's own interests and research on other topics. Themes will change from time to time.
