Rea Valley Woodcarvers have joined our u3a and we now have our own woodcarving group operating from the 1st April.
The Woodcarvers currently have a membership of fifteen who endeavour to transform plain blocks of wood into attractive shapes. We meet in the Callow Room at Minsterley Parish Hall on Thursday evenings between 7 and 9pm during school term time.
There is probably as much, if not more, chatter as there is of carving.
We have a limited number of club tools for new members during their induction which are available until they purchase their own equipment. This limits new
membership to one or two starters at any one time. No previous skills are required and we offer new starters a three week period of free tuition sessions so that you
are able to establish whether not carving and the group is for you.
So why not join us in developing the 'magic' of transforming blocks of wood into beautiful shapes.
