At our next u3a meeting on Wednesday 16th September 2026 at 2pm in Minsterley Parish Hall, we welcome Heather Chave from Hokey Pokey Hedgehog Rescue, who will give us a fascinating insight into the work of rescuing and rehabilitating one of Britain's favourite wild animals.

Heather cares for hedgehogs from across the local area, nursing injured, sick and orphaned animals before returning them to the wild whenever possible. Drawing on her first-hand experiences, she'll share some memorable rescue stories, explain the many challenges facing hedgehogs today, and offer practical tips on how we can make our own gardens more wildlife-friendly.

This promises to be an enjoyable, informative talk with plenty of wonderful photographs and a chance to learn more about these charming but increasingly vulnerable creatures.

Following the session, refreshments will be provided, offering a chance to catch up or learn more about our u3a. Members and visitors are warmly invited to attend. Free for members. Voluntary donations from visitors welcome.
