Join us for our next Open Meeting on Wednesday 20th May 2026 2pm at Minsterley Parish Hall, for an engaging and thought-provoking talk on the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC).

Founded by Royal Charter in 1917, the CWGC work on behalf of six nations to commemorate the 1.7 million men and women from the Commonwealth who lost their lives in the two World Wars. As well as cemeteries and memorials, the archives and records are of international importance to historians, families, and local communities. This talk will explore the history of the Commission as well as the scope of our work today.

Refreshments will follow the talk, with time to chat and reflect. Members & non-members are very welcome.
